St Clement’s Church, close to Ipswich Waterfront, is famously the mariners’ church with the parish being associated with shipbuilding, international trading and exploration for hundreds of years.
This large atmospheric church, originally dating from the 14th and 15th Centuries, is available to hire for rehearsals, filming and as a base for other projects.
The church is a redundant church in the care of the Ipswich Historic Churches Trust which aims for it to become a centre for performance and the community again.
It has a new floor in the nave area and many original features.
It retains its bells, and has a restored and working Victorian carillon and is surrounded by its historic churchyard. There is an anchor featured on its bell tower.
