Bury St Edmunds Abbey

Extensive remains of Benedictine monastery. Founded in 1020, the site now features the impressive remains of the Abbey itself alongside the Norman Tower and 14th Century Great Gate. The ruins are set in beautiful gardens with statues and shrines, and lie just to the east of St Edmundsbury Cathedral.
