Disused station and platform shelter built in 1865. Originally built for the Great Eastern Railway, the now abandoned structures were given grade II listed status in 2013. There is also an original goods shed, which has now been repurposed as the visitors centre for Clare Castle Country Park. The buildings are comprised of red brick laid in Flemish bond with gault brick dressings, and slate-covered roofs. [TAGS; transport, trains, old-fashioned, heritage, deserted, historical]
